What is in the SEO Checklist?
Born of a want to keep sharing best practices, the SEO Checklist is the basic process I go through with each and every website I see through to launch. This SEO Checklist is for anyone launching a new website, it covers an array of topics including:
- Website Structure (code and site hierarchy)
- How and When to use Keywords
- URL structure
- Microformats and Social Meta Tags
- Image Optimisation
- Making Your Website Awesome
- Post-Launch Tasks and Checks
- A great list of tools each website should use
It may not sound much but it covers over 50 tasks, many of them a “rinse and repeat” across each page on your site.
This list in parts is “must-have” basics, such as implementing great title tags and meta descriptions. However, most of the tasks will provide incremental help toy our rankings, if you are missing one or two tasks then its usually not that much of an issue and won’t generally stop you from ranking well. If you can complete the list AWESOME! if not, do what you can, every task will help.
