Writing of an SEO Book for the real world

Over the past few years I’ve read well over 50 SEO books (including these top seo books), some contained good advice, others were not so forthcoming. But all suffered from the same issues, they were aimed at designers and developers – they had jargon to the brim and explained various factors in such a complex manner that even I at times struggled to grasp what they were saying about something I already knew.

So last year I discussed with a few people an opportunity I have given my knowledge of the subject and my apparent way with words to cut out the jargon (the later has been commented on numerous times over the past year by readers of these articles). The opportunity was (as it is now) to write a unique book about SEO, a book where SEO advice and detail meets the real world of website owners, developers and designers together.

You see in my opinion and the opinions of those I’ve spoken to the world is not made up of these people working independently, indeed quite the opposite, in some cases they are all the same person. So why would you want to write a book aimed at a single type of person involved and not explain to others why something is being done a certain way? I wouldn’t.

Furthermore if you aim your book at the “skilled end” of designers and developers you leave your self alienated from those people whom are a small business or single person bidding for the attention of potential clients and readers whom want to get their hands dirty and do some simple coding or site updates to really help their site. So, I won’t be doing that either.

Instead I am about to begin putting pen to paper in writing an all encompassing SEO book, aimed at the real world – so it won’t contain jargon, it won’t be full of complex explanations and the examples won’t be so far fetched you have no idea where to start. The book will be a practical SEO guide written for the whole world, with the aim that even the newest of website owners with zero experience can really understand how to improve the website they own and make it stand out from the rest in terms of SEO.

So why am I telling you this before I’ve even begun writing? well…

I Need Your Help !!!

I have a list of topics I want to cover in the book, ranging from “what a spider is” and “what a SERP is” to Meta Tags to coding structure to content writing and beyond.

But to make this book a success I need to know what you want to see in the book, now I know I have covered a lot of stuff on this site and most of it will be in the book, but is there anything I have missed? Something you want to know more about? or any kind of myth or story you have heard that you want to know the truth about?

Whatever it is you want to know about SEO or see in an SEO book I need your help.
