Your Details …. Lost…or WORSE … SOLD ON eBAY!!!

Ebay

So we keep hearing these stories of how the gov’t and MI5 loose our details, be this for child beniefits or otherwise. But today i read a story that annoyed me no end.

A man (who is in IT manager) purchased a computer from the well known online auction site eBay.com for £77. All sounding good right? well no, the computer (it turns out) has several million peoples financial details from both the Royal Bank of Scotland and its kidling NatWest.
Now if this isnt bad enough all RBS have said is: “inappropriately sold on via a third party”.
So RBS why no investigation, why not format your disks, why not destroy your computer drives, why even get rid of them? surely sense tells you to keep HDD’s with any type of personal information?or destroy them beyond anymeans of repair?

gah some companies.
