Google Chrome – the reaction 1 (again)

google chrome

Ok well after a Google employee accidentally released the 38 page comic (design to introduce people to the Google Browser (known as Chrome), the story of which is athttp://blogoscoped.com/google-chrome/it was then released in a hurry as google felt embaressed somewhat

Anyway having tested it all day today and disregarding all other browsers for the day i can safely say that it renders 99.999999% of the internet the same as Internet Explorer, it uses the same webkit as FireFox and Safari but clearly a differnt render engine more like IE, and this is one of the two down falls i have found. The other downfall is if you refresh or have multiple tabs loading it is a little slower than normally, but this said tick over apps (such as gmail) work very well and use less processes than any other browser.
One other minor fault is there is hardly any features from google toolbar, but this said it was leaked and released really too early, so i dont expect them but they would be nice.

Wait one more thing the EULA on download says anything your enter into a site (otherthan passwords etc) can be reproduced and changed by them for thier needs at any time… this does scare me

On the other hand its very swarve and nice, i love the design and the fact ingonito actually works, also the built in DOM inspector as a web person is of amazing use. Also the tabs look nice, it uses less processes (most the time) and well its geek friendly.

So i will be adding this to my “must test in” list, and my website will be in support of this browser…

Congrats google, but it wont be my number one browser yet.
